Steamed Snake Beans & Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 500 g snake beans (= Yardlong Beans)

  • 1/2 onion

  • 20 g ginger

  • 3 garlic cloves

  • 5 curry leaves

  • 1 medium tomato

  • 2 medium potatoes

  • Salt

  • 2 dry chilis


Procedure

  1. Chop the snake beans, potatoes and tomato. Finely cut the chili, onion, ginger and garlic cloves.

  2. Rinse the snake beans in water.

  3. Start with frying the curry leaves, onion, ginger and garlic in a pot, until they get a light brown colour.

  4. Then add potatoes and fry for 30 s. Add the chili and salt to taste.

  5. Then add the tomato and snake beans.

  6. Add 1 dL water about 15 s after snake beans added.

  7. Steam under medium to high heat, under a lid.


Enjoy!
